Fundraising February

Throughout the month of February, 8 club members are covering the distance of 100km (individually) in aid of Parkinson's UK.
What better time to take on a challenge to get your exercise in for the day than in this difficult and uncertain time? Drumchapel Table Tennis Club have been thinking of ways to keep everyone involved & motivated. We decided that we would do 'Fundraising February' to give back to a charity who does amazing work.
A simple challenge for everyone to cover 100km in the month of February whether that is walking, running and/or cycling all for a fantastic cause.
We thought this is something that can be done as part of our daily exercise whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place. This challenge is a fantastic motivation to get up and out to do some exercise. Not only is it great for your physical health, it is brilliant for your mental health to be out in the fresh air and get the endorphins going. It really is a great way to keep in touch with other members of the club involved and have some fun!
The reason we decided to do this challenge for Parkinson's UK is because a good friend of Drumchapel Table Tennis Club has been diagnosed with Parkinson's in recent years. We thought it would be amazing to raise funds for a charity that is so close to so many of our club members hearts. This charity does amazing things, and we are absolutely loving being part of this journey to raise funds for Parkinson's UK.
